Tendons & Ligaments

Tendons are cartilaginous cord-like extensions that attach muscle to bones.
Tendons are fibrous connective tissue made of collagen & proteoglycans,
and are flexible and can withstand tensional stretching.

Ligaments are strong connective tissue that attach bones to bones, forming a joint.
Ligaments are also made of fibrous connective tissue and
provide stability to the joint by restricting movement and holding the bones in place.

Maybe we can equate tendons & ligaments to "Wires" and bones to "Struts"
as in the architectural principle of tensegrity?
