Atlanta Logo  My Service and Volunteer Duties:    NCAA
                    Logo

In keeping with my desire to work with and help educate young people, I have, from 1980 to 2005, volunteered my time to amateur athletics by serving as a technical swim official to the National Governing Body of Swimming in the United States, U.S.A. Swimming, and to the NCAA.  I have served as the referee for over 25 National Championships, 4 U.S. Olympic Festivals, and 4 Olympic Trials.  I worked as a technical swim official on the pool deck at the 1988 Seoul Olympics, the 1994 Rome World Championships, the 1995 Pan Pacific Championships, the 1995, 1999, & 2003 Pan Am Games, the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games, the 1998 Goodwill Games, and as head referee for the Women's NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships from 1997 to 2005, which has broadened my perspective of the efforts made by college-age students world wide in their pursuit of academic and athletic excellence.   Administratively, I have served on the Board of Directors of USA Swimming for 8 years, as the Vice President of Program Operations and Southern Zone non-Coach representative. I served as the Chairman of the Rules & Regulations Committee of USA Swimming from 1988 to 1995.  Locally, I have been General Chairman, Administrative Vice Chairman, and Records Chairman of Florida Gold Coast Swimming, Inc., the local governing body of USA Swimming.
