tissue sections are treated with antibodies to the antigen catalase, then treated with gold particles coated with protein-A, which binds to Fc domain of antibody, now linked to catalase in the sections, thereby localizing the catalase exclusively in the peroxisomes (which catabolize long chain fatty acids & photorespiration in plants).
