These transgenic mice express enhanced green fluorescent protein under the control of a chicken beta-actin promoter and cytomegalovirus enhancer. As they pose in the glare of an excitation light source, all but the erythrocytes and hair, fluoresce. First photographed a few years ago, the mice are worth viewing again (M.
