Koshland's Induced fit hypothesis  (1958)- the active site and the binding
portion of the substrate are not exactly complementary, so, e.g., when glucose
(red) comes close to the hexokinase active site it induces a conformational
change in the active site and can distort the substrate into its transitional state.
